Real cats, real care: A promise to rescues
"Real cats. Real care." is not just a slogan on our website. It is the standard we use when no one is watching.
It starts with the materials. We use food-grade silicone, stainless steel, and non-toxic fabrics because cats lick, chew, and sleep on these things for years. We list every material on the product page because if we would not want it in our own home, we will not sell it.
It continues with how we ship. We use recyclable kraft mailers and minimal plastic. Our warehouse team has standing instructions: if a box is bigger than it needs to be, repack it. Empty space is wasted fuel.
It also means giving back. We donate 1% of every order to local cat rescue groups. Not once a year. Every order. The money helps cover vaccines, spay/neuter surgeries, and emergency care for cats waiting for homes.
And when we say "real cats," we mean our cats and yours. The product photos on this site are not stock images. They are Mochi and Latte, plus the rescue cats who visit our studio on adoption-event days. Every picture shows a cat who actually used the product.
That is the promise. No pretending. No pretending to care. Just the same honest standards we use for our own two cats, extended to yours.
"A brand should be judged by what it does when the customer is not looking."
Where the 1% goes
We partner with small rescue groups that operate with no marketing budget and no paid staff. The donations buy food, medicine, and transport for cats pulled from shelters at risk of euthanasia.
Every quarter, we publish a short impact report on this journal. You can see how many cats were helped, where the money went, and what we still want to do better.
What we are still figuring out
We are not perfect. Some of our packaging still uses a thin plastic liner to protect fabric beds from moisture. We are testing paper alternatives. We are also looking for rescue partners in the regions where our customers live, so the help lands closer to the people who make GD-Meow possible.
Progress, not perfection. That is the honest version.
