Behind GD-Meow: Two cats, one honest brand

There's a reason every product in our shop starts with a cat. Literally.

We're a small team that lives with two cats — an orange tabby who has to investigate everything (including the bag every order ships in), and a silver British shorthair who will sleep through absolutely anything as long as it's sunny. Before GD-Meow was a brand, it was just a list of things we wanted for them and couldn't find: beds that were actually cozy, bowls that didn't get knocked over, gear that didn't look like a pet-store afterthought.

The problem with cat stuff

Most cat products fall into two camps. The cheap ones are flimsy — they lose their shape after three washes, the bowls tip, the beds go flat. The pretty ones are twice the price and ship from three warehouses on a waitlist. Neither felt honest. We were tired of paying a "cat tax" for branding, not quality.

So we did what any cat-obsessed team with a logistics background would do. We started making it ourselves.

Why a logistics company makes cat beds

We run an overseas warehouse out of Guangdong — shipping furniture, parcels, and one-off batches for over twenty years. That means our cat beds and bowls ship from our own shelf, not from a mystery fulfillment partner across two oceans. It's why our delivery is faster and our prices aren't inflated. The same infrastructure that ships sofas ships your cat a self-warming mat.

Every product passes the two-cat test

This is the only rule that really matters to us. Before any product goes into the shop, two things have to happen:

• The Tabby gets to climb on it, dig at it, and knock it off the counter at least once.

• The Sleeper gets to curl up in it, sleep through a full afternoon, and refuse to leave when it's dinner time.

If either of them walks away unimpressed, the product goes back. Real cats. Real care — not a slogan, but the actual job description.

What's in the shop today

We're starting where we live: Cat Beds & Mats (12 products — from a self-warming mat for senior cats to a donut calming bed for anxious kittens) and Cat Feeding & Water (8 products — whisker-friendly bowls, a slow-feeder, a collapsible travel bowl, the works). Every one of them is something we keep on our own floor.

We'll add more only when we're sure the cats will use it. No filler.

• Honest prices. No mystery markups. Shipping over $35 is on us.

• Quiet design. Gear that belongs in your home, not next to it.

A small promise

If our cats won't sleep in a bed we're selling, we won't sell it. That's it. That's the whole brand.
