The road ahead: What we're building next

We started GD-Meow with beds and bowls because that is where we live. Mochi and Latte did not ask for a cat tree on day one. They asked for a place to sleep and a bowl that did not slide. So we began there.

But the list never closed. The note on the phone that became this brand still has unchecked boxes. And now that the first products are out in the world, we can finally talk about what comes next — without pretending we have it all figured out.

The next products on the list

The two cats have been clear about what they want. Mochi has been circling the windowsill for months, so a safe window perch is high on the list. Latte has strong opinions about afternoon sun, which means a lightweight mat for warm floors is coming. We are also testing a scratching option that does not look like a carpet remnant.

None of these will ship until both cats sign off. That has not changed. If a prototype fails the two-cat test, it goes back to the "Nice try" shelf like everything else.

A bigger warehouse, a smaller footprint

Our Guangdong warehouse is getting busier, not bigger. We would rather ship more orders from the shelf we already have than build a second one across the ocean. Smaller footprint, faster delivery, same honest price.

We are also pushing harder on packaging. The thin plastic liner that protects fabric beds is still there, but we are close to a paper alternative we trust. Every box we ship is one we want to be proud of when your cat climbs into it.

The list is still open

The thing we want to say most is this: GD-Meow is not finished. It is barely started. The beds and bowls are version one. The rescue promise is version one. The two-cat test is the only part we are sure about.

If your cat has an opinion — a bed they ignore, a bowl they flip, a nap spot they refuse to leave — tell us. The next product might start with your cat's complaint, the same way ours did.

What we are not doing

We are not chasing trends. We are not going to fill the shop with fifty SKUs we cannot stand behind. We would rather have twelve products the cats love than a hundred they ignore.

Growth, for us, means more honest things — not more things.
